During the fall of 2014, The NHHEAF Network Organizations began “Casual Days for Charity”, a program through which food and monetary donations would be collected voluntarily in exchange for the opportunity to dress in casual attire. Created in order to help every individual share in the nonprofit mission of the organization, an interdepartmental Charitable Review Committee (CRC) was formed tasked with the goal of coordinating donations to nonprofit organizations.
Realizing that not all employees support the same non-profit goals, charities may be nominated by any current NHHEAF employee for review by the CRC. Nominated charities will be reviewed to determine if they meet the guidelines established. Charities approved by the CRC will be sent out to the organization’s employees to vote and select charities for the next three or six months. Selected charities will be assigned to the calendar by the CRC.
Participation in the Charity of the Month is strictly on a volunteer basis. If a selected Charity of the Month does not align with an individual employee’s beliefs, that employee has several options to select from in order to dress in casual attire. Employees may donate $1.00 weekly or donate an item weekly to the selected Charity of the Month. Casual attire is a charitable benefit and not a requirement.
The goal of NHHEAF Network Care’s Charity of the Month and Mini-Grants is to benefit not for profit organizations and charities. It is our way of giving back to the community. In order to align with the NHHEAF Network Organization’s mission statement, the following guidelines have been established.
